Consistency
At HCA we understand that consistency and routines help students succeed in learning, growing and becoming independent thinkers. We want every student and family to know that learning at home is a positive and rewarding experience. Consistency also allows flexibility where families have more control over when and where learning takes place. That's why we have chosen to work with digital platforms that provide easy access and rigorous curriculum aligned to standards. Consistent contact with our certificated teaching staff supports engagement and learning throughout the year.
Our K-5 (Elementary) consistent experience includes:
Access digital learning materials by logging into the K12 online learning system (OLS), Google Classroom and Studies Weekly.
All non-digital learning materials will be sent to your house for you and your student to use in an offline format.
Our fully remote AND blended learning students are assigned a certificated teacher to facilitate the learning process at home as well as make connections with your student and family. Together we make learning engaging, relevant and personal. Connections are made in person via email, phone, and/or Google Meet.
Students in our blended program (In-class and at-home) work closely with their designated teachers in large groups, small groups and individually for instructional purposes using the Evergreen Public School's curriculums. Assignments from in-person instructional times are accessed through Google Classroom.
COVID Remote Learning Update: At this time, all instruction is remote. To maintain consistency in our program, teachers will provide "In-class" virtual experiences on the days you are assigned to attend class in the building. Teachers are using Google Meet for synchronous instruction. Assignments from virtual in-person instructional times are accessed through Google Classroom.
Progress throughout the year will be communicated on a monthly basis and is accessible through the online platforms 24/7.
Our 6-8 (Middle School) consistent experience includes:
Access to all learning materials in 2 platforms: Apex and Google Classroom.
Fully Remote AND Blended Instruction students are assigned a cerficated teacher to facilitate the learning process at home as well as make connections with your student and family so that together we make learning engaging, relevant and personal.
Fully Remote AND Blended Instruction students work closely with their designated teachers in large groups, small groups and individually for instructional purposes using the Evergreen Public School's curriculums. Companion assignments are accessed through Google Classroom.
